Yotam Ottolenghi

Turkey Zucchini Burgers with Sumac Yogurt Sauce

An original Ottolenghi recipe from his cookbook Jerusalem, these burgers go fantastically well with a fresh Ottolenghi salad like the one we looked at in our salad special. The original recipe recommends they be served as sliders and without buns but we won’t tell if you mix things up a bit!

The key here is the wonderful yogurt sauce which gives these burgers a fresh and vibrant flavor.

Gordon Ramsay

The Perfect Burger

He’s great! He’s scary! He’s oh so very sweary! Gordon Ramsay! Gordon Ramsay!

Ok, I’ll work on the song, and while I do you should check out this ultimate how-to guide on cooking the perfect burger at home. Set in the hills of LA (we think!) this burger is cooked perfectly on the grill and is ideal for the Summer time.

The secret? Heaps of regular seasoning and buttering up your burgers while they’re cooking. whispers You’re welcome!

Nigella Lawson

High-Speed Hamburger

As their name may suggest, these burgers are quick and easy to make and follow Nigella’s philosophy of simplicity and flavor first cooking.

Nigella’s recipe is given a thorough run-through by the fantastic folk over at Rebel Without A Sauce (check out they’re awesome content) and the key is mixing the beef with the wonderful yogurt, Worcestershire sauce (say that one in a hurry) and a thorough seasoning.

Tasty Tasty!

Jamie Oliver

Insanity Burger

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, but with these burgers you won’t want to change a thing (does that make them sanity burgers?)!

Filled with lashings of mustard and homemade burger sauce, these monster taste sensations follow the Ramsay method of brushing your burgers during cooking but crank it up a notch by including mustard and tabasco chipotle in the process.

Give them a go!

Delia Smith

All-American Half-Pounders

Delia has gone back to the heart and soul of the burger. The original, and some may say the best though we’ll leave it up for discussion, burger of them all (that was quite a sentence): The All-American Half-Pounder.

These burgers are straight-up, no messing around kind of burgers that’ll sit you down and tell you how food was better in the old days without this interweb mumbo-jumbo! Which is to say that they’re old-school tastiness founded upon good, chopped steak which is tenderized and grilled on charcoal.

Don’t mess around, give these burgers a try at home!

Ainsley Harriott

Courgette, Carrot and Chickpea Veggie Burger

Who doesn’t love watching Ainsley boogying over a barbecue? If you’re saying ‘me’ right now then I’m afraid we can no longer be friends and that’s just life sometimes - It gives you lemons, it gives you limes, both of them are sour, where am I going with this, Ainsley Harriott is awesome and this recipe is great, give it a try!

P.S. The key is a couple of spoons of curry paste!

Lesley Waters

Supreme Turkey Burger

The good old BBC, eh, where would we be without it? No Attenborough (watch Dynasties right now you heathen), no Doctor Who and no Lesley Waters turkey burgers, that’s where! The thought makes me curl up and cry a little inside and I’m ok with being honest about that.

These burgers are tasty and full of fibre, the key being dried apricots mixed into the mince. Get cooking!
